TYF Inc.’s Employee Satisfaction Survey

It is vital for any organization, especially the growing call centers in Cebu, to hear the ideas and opinions of each of its members. Meetings, forums, and general discussions are held in order for both the administrative and the operational sector of an organization to air out their ideas, complaints, and comments about their working environment, colleagues, working status, or the management itself.

In promoting intelligibility and equality between our administration and our workforce, we conducted the first ever Taking You Forward, Inc.’s (TYF, Inc.) Employment Satisfaction Survey (ESAT).

ESAT is a new tool we use in order for us to solicit feedback from our employees. Before, TYF, Inc. would hear from its employees through the General Assemblies and the forum in the company website. The disadvantage with these methods is that not everyone has the chance to air out their appeals or commentaries. Also, the usual topics for the assembly are quite general, hence disregarding minor concerns and ideas.

Here in TYF, Inc., one way of valuing our human resource is to listen to what they have to say about our call center companymay it be a complaint, recommendation, or plain comment. For us, no suggestion or opinion is insignificant; rather, each is of high importance and worth the attention.

Therefore, to help us optimize our goal to better serve our workforce, we have adopted the ESAT. This tool enables us to gather more personalized suggestions and detailed issues from our workforce. Also, everyone, even the managing staff, will be given the chance to air out concerns/complaints by simply answering a questionnaire that would directly correspond to their necessities.

esatESAT will help us measure our employees’ attitude, opinion, motivation, and satisfaction. This survey will assess how our employees think, feel, and behave on certain work-related functions.

Our employees who have worked for TYF, Inc. for at least three (3) months or more will be the ones eligible to take the survey. This is because we believe that tenure in the company is a factor that can clearly determine the advantages and disadvantages of working with us. This survey will be mandatory for them to answer and will be done annually.

The survey is to be answered online, hence making it more convenient for our employees. Each employee is directed to a link (TYF Web Application) containing the survey, which can be accessed with a username (basically the name of the employee) and password. The names of the employees will be withheld in collating the results (e.g., no negative feedback about the company will be taken against the employee).

The Organization Development Team under the Work Force Group (WFG) is the one in charge of collating the results of the ESAT. The results will be forwarded to the management and respective department heads for assessment, determining what actions should be taken. The ESAT results will serve as an indication of the status of the company’s workforce and will play a significant role in the future decision making of the company for the welfare of its employees.
